The U.S. Women’s National Team is back in the U.S. to celebrate their long-awaited title. Their first stop was in Los Angeles, where there were over 10,000 fans waiting for them at the fan rally. Some of them got there as early as 4:30 am to make sure they had a good spot.

California natives Megan Rapinoe and Amy Rodriguez stepped in to introduce all of their teammates. Some of the other highlights were Hope Solo, who won the Golden Glove, as well as Carli Lloyd who had the hat trick in the final and was awarded the Golden Ball. Abby Wambach, Christie Rampone, Meghan Klingenberg, Julie Johnston, Becky Sauerbrunn and Ali Krieger also had a few words to say.

Next for the USWNT will be the two friendly matches against Costa Rica on August 16th in Pittsburg and on August 19th in Chattanooga before go to their celebration tour throughout the nation.
