As the 2015/16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy regular season comes to a close it is never too early to look ahead at the upcoming season which will showcase some new changes made by U.S. Soccer.
From the 2007 to 2012/13 season, the only two age groups were U-15/16 and U-17/18. That changed prior to the 2013/14 season when the U-13/14 age group was added. New this year will be a U-12 age group that will feature more than 30 teams in California divided into three divisions. The U-13/14 age group has been split up with one U-13 and one U-14 division.
U.S. Soccer has been known to make changes prior to the season. These divisions may change, teams may be added, and other teams may be removed.
