Steve Brockhoff and Daryl Biggs jump on the latest SoccerNation Podcast – powered by soccerloco to talk about the recent news that the SoccerCity San Diego Original Supporters Group is spinning off and becoming member-run.
The OSG was actually first started by the SoccerCity team last year as a way to validate interest in their plan. In short order, the group grew to nearly 2,000 members. Those members are now taking over the leadership of their own group and Daryl and Steve have stepped up to steer the ship and manage the transition.
The conversation runs all over the place, starting with how Daryl and Steve got into soccer in the first place and touching on what led them to their new roles with OSG, what sort of challenges they face and what sort of tasks they are taking up.
We discuss what it means to be a San Diegan and how the activation of this group can build bridges and strengthen the foundation of the soccer community and the greater San Diego community at large.
