Congratulations to six San Diego Surf teams who were crowned champions at the Manchester City Americas Cup!
The inaugural MCFC Americas Cup is the new signature Memorial Day tournament in Southern California. With support from Manchester City FC and Pro players like Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero, MCFC Americas Cup is now one of the must win tournaments in spring.
The tournament was held in Oceanside with the tournament being held by Surf Cup Sports. The event was integrated as a qualifying tournament that provided first place winners of each bracket an automatic acceptance into the notable summer Surf Cup held in San Diego.
The tournament allowed for college coaches to attend the event for scouting of the older age groups.
Surf dominated in all age groups and had teams progress to the semi finals in 14/18 different age groups. Eight teams reached the final with SIX taking home the championship!
