A huge congratulations to the Girls EGSL Academy U12 and coach Mark Spooner on becoming the 2015 US Youth Soccer Region IV Champions!
The final today saw two Cal South Soccer teams face off in what was sure to be a closely contested game! However it was Surf who started as the stronger team and headed into the break with a 2-0 advantage thanks to a Dorrian Savage brace! Legends FC managed to pull one back in the 2nd half but it was another dominant performance by the Surf defense to see out the game and take home the championship!
Mark Spooner said “I can’t even begin to talk about how proud I am of these girls. They have shown time and time again just how good they can be. Their resilience and mental strength shows maturity beyond their years. They deserve today and I couldn’t be happier for them.”
