soccerloco member club San Diego United will host their 9th annual San Diego United Summer Challenge the weekend of July 30th-31st. The tournament has grown in size each year and typically hosts over 200 teams – many from out of town. The coastal fields, San Diego location and summer weekend dates make for a great event.

The club’s Director of Coaching, Jason Heth, runs the tournament and has done so for many years.

“We always take notes during our tournament weekend and intently listen to feedback offered by teams that have attended. We use this feedback to improve our event each and every year. We usually have many teams return and play in our tournament year after year. They tell us they always have a great experience!”

The club is very proud of their annual event and spends the entire year focused on ensuring it runs smoothly. An amazing group of knowledgeable, friendly and helpful club volunteers help run the tournament and are available the entire weekend to assist attendees, report accurate scores, provide field directions and answer any questions that may come up.

San Diego United has invested in the event to ensure it is of the highest quality. They provide three referees at all age groups and have extended playtime including overtime periods for all finals instead of going straight to penalties. This is not an event that teams will pay top dollar for only to play minimal minutes.

The entry deadline for San Diego United Summer Challenge is July 1st and teams can register by visiting http://www.sandiegounited.net/tourney/index.html
