PUMA is at it again! Today the German football brand reveals the latest edition of its famous dual-colored soccer cleats, dubbed the PUMA Tricks. Star names such as Marco Veraratti, Sergio Aguero, Marco Reus, Cesc Fabregas, and Olivier Giroud are due to “play loud” in the weeks to come with the new Pink Glo and Safety Yellow evoPOWER and evoSPEED cleats.

This new release is the second iteration of the Tricks style. The first featured a snazzy pink and blue design for the right and left cleats and debuted in the 2016 World Cup in Brazil.

PUMA derived the inspiration for dual colored cleats from legendary lion of Cameroon, Rigobert Song’s 1998 World Cup whim of wearing one red and one yellow PUMA King cleat on each foot. Song said, “you must be bold” to wear two different color cleats and boldness is exactly what PUMA Tricks cleats have come to represent today. Being bolder and different requires attitude. An attitude that commands the ball, the moment, and the attention.

Based from a CMYK color palette, the newest PUMA Tricks cleats feature a signature two color approach.  The right foot vamp is a Safety Yellow color connecting to the black heel and the left is Pink Glo.

The evoSPEED is light and responsive, in order to improve speed and maneuverability. The evoPOWER 1.3 cleat is designed to honor the principles of kicking, resulting in increased flexibility and more kicking power.

“The Tricks boots match my style of play perfectly,” said Argentinean star striker and PUMA player Sergio Agüero. “Everyone went crazy for Tricks at the World Cup two years ago and PUMA has outdone itself by bringing these boots back to the pitch with the bold pink and yellow colours.  I love the evoSPEED boots I am wearing at the moment – they are so lightweight you can hardly feel them on your feet but still provide a lot of support.”

The new PUMA Tricks evoPOWER 1.3, evoSPEED SL, and evoSPEED 1.5 are available to purchase on soccerloco.com and stores from April 21.
