PUMA has announced it has signed a long-term contract with American soccer star, Michael Bradley. The man nicknamed “General” Bradley for his authoritative style of play and commanding leadership will wear PUMA’s latest offerings of footwear on pitch while playing and captaining the Toronto FC and the United States Men’s National Team.
Bradley has signed a contract to be the face of US Soccer for PUMA and will be featured in future campaigns and marketing initiatives for statement cleat footwear and other soccer inspired products. He was spotted wearing a pair of evoSPPED 1.4 cleats this past weekend for Toronto FC in Major League Soccer, but he will officially take the field as a PUMA athlete in the CONCACAF Cup match this weekend between Mexico and the United States. PUMA will also work with Bradley to create programming surrounding him during major international soccer tournaments.
Bradley is the cornerstone of the United States midfield and has been an integral part of the national team for the better part of the last decade. He has excelled on the pitch for the USMNT and has played in 106 games, scoring 15 goals. Midfielder Michael Bradley said, “I couldn’t be more excited to join PUMA and the roster of strong and talented athletes already in the family. Bradley will officially debut this relationship on field during the USA game against Mexico on October 10th wearing PUMA cleats. Michael Bradley will take center stage in the most important competitive match between the fierce rivals since the Gold Cup final in 2011. Every time Mexico plays the United States, it is a must win game for both sides and a strong Michael Bradley performance will go a long way towards another American victory.
