As Legacy enters another exciting soccer season, Legacy will unfortunately be saying goodbye to another group of players who will be taking the next step to the college game.

One of those players is Annika Sandstedt a legacy player for more than 10 years who has verbally committed to Texas Women’s University. We caught up with Annika and spoke to her about committing to Texas Women’s.

Legacy: Why did you pick Texas Women’s University?
Annika: I picked Texas Women’s because it has great academics, especially in its health sciences, which is the field I’m hoping to enter. Plus, it’s not too far from family and friends.

Legacy: What are you looking forward to?
Annika: I’m looking forward to growing as a person and as a player and I think TWU is the best place for me to achieve my goals!

Legacy: What did you learn at Legacy that will help you at the college level?
Annika: Legacy tough me a lot over the years. Like how to be a teammate and friend. How to be responsible and trustworthy. Legacy has taught me how to set goals while learning the determination and commitment it takes to reach them. I want to thank each and every one of my coaches for the impact they have had on me.

Legacy: Good luck at TWU!
Annika: Thanks!
