Bryan Gerard, Director of Goalkeeping, and Jason Hall, Assistant Director of Goalkeeping, held a Legacy goalkeeper video analysis at Barro’s earlier this week.
Legacy goalkeepers (U-10 to U-18) watched film on the top goalkeeper from Major League Soccer. Players were asked to write down their observations and then discuss the actions taken by the goalkeeper.
By analyzing these situations, Legacy goalkeepers learn in detail what is good positioning, proper techniques, timing, effort, distribution, and many other valuable lessons that goalkeepers need to learn.
