LA Galaxy II (9-5-1, 28 points) earned a 4-2 victory over Tulsa Roughnecks FC Saturday night on the road at ONEOK Field as goals from Raul Mendiola, Ariel Lassiter and two from Bradford Jamieson IV were enough for three points on the night.

Galaxy II jumped on the scoreboard first behind a goal from LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Raul Mendiola in the third minute of play. Midfielder Andre Auras played a ball from outside the 18 over the top to Mendiola, who hit it with one touch to chip Tulsa goalkeeper Zac Lubin. The ball bounced off the inside of the crossbar and in to give Los Dos the 1-0 lead. It was Mendiola’s fourth goal of the season.

Tulsa responded 10 minutes later when Iarfhlaith Davore leveled the score at ONEOK Stadium with his first goal of the year. The score remained 1-1 as both sides went into the locker room at halftime.

Following halftime, Galaxy II responded with a dominant second half that saw them score three goals with two of them coming from the foot of LA Galaxy Homegrown Player Bradford Jamieson IV. The forward scored two goals in less than four minutes, beginning in the 60th minute with a beautiful strike from outside the box. Following a Los Dos corner kick, a ball was cleared to the top of the 18 and collected by Jamieson IV before firing a rocket to the far post.

Just minutes later, the 18 year old added his second of the night and his third of the USL season. The forward collected the ball inside the box before creating space for himself and launching a right-footed effort on goal past the arms of a diving goalkeeper to make the score 3-1.

The action was the first competition for Jamieson IV since returning to the Galaxy from international duty with the U.S. U-20’s at the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

With less than 10 minutes left in the match, Tulsa pulled one back through a penalty kick. After defender Bradley Diallo was called for a foul inside the area, Gibson Bardsley scored from the penalty spot.

Los Dos then sealed the match behind a goal from Ariel Lassiter, his team-leading seventh goal of the year. Tulsa goalkeeper Zac Lubin mishandled a cross in the area as it fell to Lassiter, who tapped it in to an empty net to make the score 4-2 as Galaxy II held on for the road win against the Western Conference side.

The victory saw Galaxy II earn their ninth win in their last 11 matches. They are just one point out of first place in the Western Conference standings with two games in hand on leaders Sacramento Republic FC. Los Dos will now return to StubHub Center for a match against OKC Energy FC on Sunday, July 5 at 5 p.m. PT.
