Looking for a way to get involved in your community?  Want to be doing something you love while giving back?  Coaching Corps is an amazing opportunity for you to help underprivileged children experience the joy of playing soccer.  Coaching corps is committed to give every child the opportunity to run, play, work on a team, learn from a coach and grow.  Sports help children and youth attend school regularly, feel better connected to school, and engage with a positive peer network.

The benefits children have from participating in sports is incredible, a mentor or coach-like figure in a child’s life is highly influential and nurturing.  They get to experience the thrill of the game, the satisfaction when overcoming a challenge, the comradery of a team and many life lessons taught through sports with the support of a great coach.

Serving as a coach for children is an extremely rewarding experience, plus it is a lot of fun!  It also is a great opportunity for high school and college students to earn community service hours or school credit.  Have you never coached before?  No worries!  Coaching corps will train you at the start of the season; also you will never be alone.  The coaches are always teamed up in pairs.  Coaching corps only asks for a 10 week commitment taking only 2-4 hours out of your busy week.  Over 4,000 coaches have signed up with coaching corps and have affected nearly 500,000 children nationwide.  Coaching corps has the goal to engage 300,000 kids by the year 2018, help become a part of the initiative today and sign up here.  I just did it, so should you!
