The Frenso are running away with the Central Pacific Division and the Zest have really come on as of late are looking to make a push for a first-place finish in the Southwest Division.

Below are recap from last week’s action.

Central Pacific Division

#1 Fresno Fuego
Barring an epic colapse, the Frenso have all but won the division this year after picking up their seventh victory in a row with just five games left to play. They have built a five point lead with two games in hand over BYU who sits second with 15 points. This past weekend Fresno defeated Las Vegas Mobsters 1-0 with the goal comign from Christian Chaney. He leads the league with 12 goals. 

#3 Burlingame Dragons FC
Tough weekend for Burlingame who looked within striking distance of Fresno before their 1-0 loss to the BYU Cougars at home.

#5 San Francisco City FC
San Francisco’s strong start to the season feels like ages ago. The team in now winless in four after suffering a 1-0 loss to the BYU Cougars.

Southwest Division

#2 San Diego Zest FC
The Zest have really come on as of late and picked up two big victories this past weekend. On Wedneday, the Zest smashed FC Golden State 5-1 with two goals efforts from Matthew Hurlow-Paonessa and Patrick McGrath. Blake Homan scored as well for the Zest. Against LA Laguna FC on Saturday, the Zest picked up a 3-0 victory with anothe rtwo-goal effort from Mattheew Hurlow-Paonessa and a lone goal from Merlin Hoeckendorff.

#3 Ventura County Fusion
Ventura has had a quiet season and with multiple games in hand the team has a chance to overtake the Zest or maybe even FC Tucson. Ventura picked up a 4-1 win over the OC Blues on Saturday with a brace from Joseph Holland and single goals from Reed McKenna and Randy Mendoza.

#4 OC Blues U23
Up and down weekend for OC Blues who suffered a 4-1 loss to Ventura and then bounced back and picked up a 3-1 win over FC Golden State on Sunday. Scoring the lone goal in the Ventura match was Justyn Peeples. In the FC Golden State match, Jose Carrera-Garcia scored a brace while Mark Verso added a long goal.

#5 FC Golden State Force
FC Golden State has really fallen off as of late suffering two more losses this past week. The first to the Zest in a 5-1 loss on Wednesday and the second to OC Blues on Sunday.

#6 Southern California Seahorses
The Seahorses ran into first-place FC Tucson on Saturday and suffered a 2-0 loss.

#7 LA Laguna FC
The lone winless team in California, LA Laguna FC suffered a 3-0 loss to the Zest.
