The second leg of a home-and-away series between Orange County Blues FC (8-8-3, 27 pts) and Real Monarchs SLC (2-10-6, 12 pts) takes place Saturday, August 1st at Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. PT.

Orange County hosted the Monarchs last weekend, taking a 1-0 victory behind Denzel Slager’s fourth goal of the season in the 43rd minute, a volley off a rebound of Pavle Popara’s initial shot.

The Blues continue to be led by Didier Crettenand and Christofer Ramirez, who have scored seven goals each. Crettenand, Christopher Santana, and Seung Ju Kim have recorded three assists each. Max Rauhofer has scored six goals for the Monarchs, and Maikon Orellana and Ricardo Velazco have recorded three assists.

Every match from here on out is crucial for Orange County’s playoff push. The Blues currently sit in the final playoff spot in the Western Conference, with nine matches left to play this season. Real Monarchs SLC sits in 12th place.
