If you’re short on time but have a desire to see kids return to competition on the field, SoccerNation has you covered.
Here are three easy things you can do to help. Each will only take a few moments.
NUMBER ONE: Contact the California Governor
You can contact California Governor Gavin Newsom HERE.
Take a minute or two and send a message to California Governor Gavin Newsom.
San Diego County Supervisor Kristin Gaspar told SoccerNation that it is clear that if enough voices chime in, Governor Newsom does take notice and respond.
NUMBER TWO: Contact San Diego County
Contact San Diego County health officials. HERE.
Same as contacting Governor Newsom, if enough families let their voices be heard, county officials will take notice. Sending a message to San Diego County health officials will only take a minute or two.
NUMBER THREE: Sign up for Kids1st
Sign the Change.org petition spearheaded by Surf Cup Sports.
Kids1st is an outcropping of Surf Cup Sport’s recent report detailing the ultra-low risk and COVID-19 transmission rates in youth soccer.
Surf Cup Sports is putting their money where their mouth is. $1 per signee (up to $10,000) will be donated and put toward COVID research and safety.
The Kids1st action items, where the money will be spent, are:
- Collect more data
- Drive awareness
- Begin pilot program
