After going into halftime with a slim 1-0 lead over Haiti, the US Women’s National Team stepped on the gas. The US Women cruised to a 4-0 win over Haiti to open CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying.

First Goal of 2020: Christen Press

Christen Press opened scoring 78 seconds into the match. Lynn Williams served up a perfect cross Cinderella-style — with one shoe:

Goal 2: ‘Pino to Williams

In the 67th minute, after dominating possession, the US doubled the lead. Megan Rapinoe subbed on and promptly delivered a perfect corner to the head of Williams.

Goal 3: Lindsay Horan

Rapinoe sent in another perfect cross from just inside the corner in the 73rd minute. Lindsay Horan headed the ball home to extend the lead.

Stoppage Time Goal #4: Carli Lloyd

Carli Lloyd finally got onto the score sheet after quite a few shots. She muscled her way past her defenders to head home the nail into Haiti’s coffin.

Up next for the US Women: Panama on Friday January 29th, then Costa Rica on Monday February 3rd to finish up group round play.
