These are too good to declare a winner, other than those watching, because they were all pretty remarkable.
The Evolution of Kamara
There was a pretty interesting story on New England Revolution forward Kei Kamara last week. The Southern California native, who famously complained his way out of the Columbus Crew SC squad last year and into the Revs because he didn’t think he was getting enough support from the team’s No. 10 Federico Higuain, admitted that New England is not “his” team and he has to play nicely with others.
Perhaps time has helped Kamara see perspective, or maybe he realizes he can’t trash his own team publicly anymore. Either way, his candor was…rewarded, maybe, with a goal in the Revolution’s 2-0 win over a fairly frisky Houston Dynamo team.
The NWSL is Coming!!!!!!
That’s right, the last American professional league to get started this year is almost ready to kick off. The historic fifth season of the NWSL begins Saturday, and while there still isn’t a team in California in the league, we will be following the other teams (as well as local products) closely until the day when a team finally, finally arrives in our backyard. Get ready!
