LA Galaxy (1) vs. Sporting Kansas City (1) – Watch Highlights
Both sides traded worthy Goals of the Week contenders in a thrilling 1-1 draw. Kansas City’s, Brad Davis, opened up the scoring in the 30th minute after he beat a defender to a Graham Zusi header. He then took a touch to the inside and curled a bender into the far post. Moments before the halftime break, LA answered back. Gyasi Zardes played a ball forward to Gio Dos Santos, who took a touch into the box and chipped the goalkeeper from a tight angle. Galaxy went down a man late when Ashley Cole was shown two quick yellows. They held on for their sixth match in a row in which they earned points.
San Jose Earthquakes (1) vs. Philadelphia Union (1) – Watch Highlights
Big comeback for the Earthquakes on Saturday as they were down a man for the majority of the match and were still able to find a way to equalize the match in the 83rd minute. Before all this, Chris Pontius scored the opened goal for the Union in the 30th minute. San Jose’s Anibal Godoy was shown a second yellow in the 60th minute. Just over 20 minutes later, Simon Dawkins weaved through the Union defense before slotting home the equalizer.
Seattle Sounders (1) vs. Columbus Crew (0) – Watch Highlights
Jordan Morris is living up to the hype. The rookie and already capped USMNT forward scored his third goal of the season in a big Seattle, 1-0, win over the Crew. In the final minutes of the match, Seattle charged down the left wing. A ball was played in and the original shot was saved. Morris was the first to the ball and found a way to squeeze it into the back of the net. For Seattle, its third win in five matches.
Real Salt Lake (2) vs. Houston Dynamo (1) – Watch Highlights
Back to their winning ways, Real Salt Lake at home took care of business against the Houston Dynamo. Things did get a little dicey when Houston’s Leonel Miranda scored the opening goal in the 54th minute. However, it woke RSL up as Jordan Allen, set up by Justen Glad, scored the equalizer just minutes later. Then eight minutes after that Yura Movsisyan scored the eventual game-winning for RSL, who are now in a three-way tie for first in the Western Conference.
Portland Timbers (2) vs. Toronto FC (1) – Watch Highlights
Toronto’s long road trip to start the season has finally come to a close. In a 2-1 loss to the Portland Timbers. Fanendo Adi scored the opening goal in the 17th minute only to see former Timbers midfielder Will Johnson equalized just 20 minutes later. The Timbers walked away with the victory following Diego Valeri’s goal in the 74th minute.
Chicago Fire (1) vs. D.C. United (1) – Watch Highlights
In a rainy match, both clubs who will be looking to squeeze into the playoffs earned a point. Chicago’s Jonathan Campbell scored the opener with D.C.’s Patrick Nyarko equalizing in the second half.
New England Revolution (2) vs. Orlando City (2) – Watch Highlights
Many things are guaranteed in life. Taxes, death, and the Revolution earning a draw. Ok joking, but the Revolution have picked up their 7th draw in 10 matches thanks to a 90th-minute equalizer from Orlando’s Carlos Rivas. Diego Fagundez and Juan Agudelo scored for the Revolution while Kevin Molina added one in the first half.
Montreal Impact (2) vs. Colorado Rapids (2) – Watch Highlights
The Impact are still the top dog in the Eastern Conference following a 2-2 draw with the, yes, first place Rapids (Western Conference). Drogba scored again before both sides started trading goals. Maxim Tissot scored for Montreal in the 50th minute and Bobby Burling equalized int he 73rd minute.
NYCFC (3) vs. Vancouver Whitecaps (2) – Watch Highlights
After six attempts, NYCFC has finally won at home in a 3-2 win over the Whitecaps. After an early Whitecap goal from Octavio Rivero, NYCFC’s David Villa put the team on his back and scored two goals to end the first half. Vancouver’s Christian Bolanos kept it close with a goal in the 63 minute. It was not enough as Steven Mendoza scored the match-winner for NYCFC in the 73rd minute.
New York Red Bulls (4) vs. FC Dallas (0) – Watch Highlights
Maybe things are changing for the New York Red Bulls. After picking up a win last week, at home, they smoked FC Dallas, 4-0, on Friday. Goals for the Red Bulls were scored by Lloyd Sam, Sacha Kljestan, Mike Grella, and Felipe.
