Footgolf is a new hybrid sport that requires players to use their soccer skills in a whole new environment: a golf course! The game combines the kicking and passing of soccer with the rules of golf. Starting from a golf tee box, players take aim at 21 inch hole and flag anywhere from 70-200 yards away, and try to make it in the cup in as few kicks as possible. Just as in golf, players keep score on a scorecard, and the goal is to shoot the lowest score after 18 holes.
Footgolf offers a great way for groups of all kinds to bond and compete. Whether its youth soccer teams playing with coaches and parents, companies getting out of the office for a team building exercise, or soccer players unwinding for some fun, footgolf is an extremely versatile activity.
From the South Bay to North County, there are five footgolf courses to choose from in the San Diego area. People of all ages and skill levels will enjoy a round of footgolf. All you need is a soccer ball (that you can rent at the course) and a positive attitude. Anytime is a great time to play footgolf, even under the lights at Mission Bay!
