The BU14 Black team coached by Sergio Godoy took first place this past weekend at the Carlsbad Coastal Classic. Throughout their four games the lads from Laguna scored a total of 10 goals and conceded 0. The first match on Saturday against CUFC finished 1-0 to United as did the second Saturday game against Escondido Heat FC. Sunday morning the goals started flowing as Coach Sergio’s team scored three goals against San Elijo Matrix. The combination of 5 goals scored and 0 conceded from the opening 3 games yielded Laguna United 26 points to top their pool play group and earn their way straight into the final where they faced Escondido Heat FC for a second time in as many days. This time though, Laguna United triumphed 5-0. Striker Richie Satterlee continued his remarkable run of scoring in every game of the tournament to finish the weekend with 4 goals to his name. Congratulations Laguna United and keep up the good work.
