On August 18th the CONCACAF group stage parings of national teams for the the upcoming Olympic qualifying games in Rio de Janeiro was announced.

The U.S Men’s Olympic team was matched with Canada, Cuba and Panama in Group A.

The U.S. is looking to better its 2011 campaign when they finished in third-place behind El Salvador and Canada. The last time the U.S. Men’s soccer team participated at an Olympic tournament was in the Olympics hosted in Beijing in 2008.
