With the Champions League Final in the history books, and the new line of adidas cleats making their debut on one of the worldest biggest stages, the weekend saw adidas display it’s new series in style with some of the biggest names in football.
The day before the Champions League Final, adidas showcased the all new X, Ace and Messi15 at its newly opened football center, ‘The Base’ in Berlin.
The event saw the likes of Mesut Ozil, Ander Herrera and Zinedine Zidane in attendance, which led to their discussion about the Champions League Final taking place the next day. The night saw these players showcase the new boots by going head-to-head with Zidane teaming up with his sons Enzo and Luca.
The match consisted of a scoring method including points, skills and overall flair with the event heightened with local DJs providing the jams and strobe lights energizing the atmosphere.
Notable Berlin freestyle footballers were also in attendance to provide the night with some jaw-dropping performances on top of the 2v2 tournament that played throughout the event.
Opening of ‘The Base’ Berlin
The official opening of The ‘Base’ Berlin is a project that sees adidas embrace its presence in the footballing world. Not normally notable for its high financed marketing stunts, the German brand provides a new location that local players and fans can enjoy and become up to date with latest adidas products.
The venue will be open to the public from June 13th onward, and will serve as spot for local youngsters to get involved with adidas projects as well as test and view upcoming released gear.
