Tournament Registration Ends this Sunday
Rebels Soccer Club began the Rebels Cup soccer tournament as a fundraiser back in 2013, and due to the great success, it has continued annually. This year’s Rebels Cup is taking place on June 10-11 in beautiful San Diego, California. Their biggest tournament to date, over 300 teams are already committed to participate in the event. Some of the top clubs in Southern California such as Legends, La Galaxy SD, La Galaxy South Bay, Albion, Del Mar Sharks, FC Force, and Arsenal will be represented at the tournament in addition to two teams from Hawaii.
The new feature added to this year’s tournament is the College Showcase for the 2001, 2000, and 1999 age groups. The showcase will be held at the facilities of Southwestern College including the Stadium. Colleges committed to be there include SDSU, USD, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, Cal Poly Pomona, Point Loma, and Cal Baptist, among others.
“Here at Rebels we are very excited on how the tournament keeps attracting teams, thus improving the competition,” said Abel Martinez, Tournament Director. “We are especially excited about the addition of the showcase as it will improve the quality of the tournament even more.”
