Fresh off expansion to the East Coast, San Diego Surf Soccer Club will be hosting tryouts this week at the Polo Fields in Del Mar. Tryouts were postponed due to an unusual rainstorm that hit the San Diego area last weekend. For boys and girls born from 1998 through 2001, this is their chance to play for an elite youth club that was established in 1977. San Diego Surf Club is the only youth soccer club that belongs to the USSF Development Soccer Academy (for boys) and the Elite Clubs National League (for girls).
For many years, Surf has produced exceptional soccer athletes in San Diego and they have reached the highest levels of the sport. Ryan Guy, coach for the 2004 boys, has been coaching Surf since 2013 and is one of the many who mold these young athletes for success. If you are interested in trying out for San Diego Surf Soccer Club, here is their tryout schedule:
Boys 2001 & 2000: Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday (April 18, 19 & 20) from 3:45-5PM. Check-in at 3:30PM
Girls 2001 & 2000: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday (April 18, 19 & 21) from 3:45-5PM. Check-in at 3:30PM
Girls 1999 & 1998: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday (April 18, 19 & 21) from 5:45-7PM. Check-in at 5:30PM
