Five California natives are among a 22-player roster named by U.S. Under-20 Men’s National Team head coach Tab Ramos. The U-20’s will face Germany, the Netherlands, and England in the 2016 U-20 Men’s Four National Tournament that is set to take place in Manchester, England.

The five California players named to the roster include goalkeepers Jonathan Klinsmann (Cal; Newport Beach) and Justin Vom Steeg (Fortuna Dusseldorf; Santa Barbara), defender Hugo Arellano (LA Galaxy; Norwalk), and midfielders Luca De La Torre (Fulham; San Diego) and Jonathan Suarez (Queretaro; Orange County). The tournament kicks off on Wednesday for the U-20’s. They face Germany at 7:00 a.m. then square off against the Netherlands on October 7th at 7:00 a.m. The final match is against the host country England on October 10th at 11:00 a.m. All times are PT. 

This tournament serves as preparation for the upcoming 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, which will take place in South Korea next May. Qualification for a spot in the 2017 World Cup will take place between next February and March in Costa Rica. England and Germany have already qualified.

Ramos has called in a strong roster that includes 17 professional players. Some other named to become familiar with are Cameron Carter Vickers (Tottenham), Brooks Lennon (Liverpool), and Gedion Zelalem (Arsenal).
