#3 Stanford Men: Record: 11(W)-1(L)-2(D)
Stanford maintained a 13-match unbeaten streak with a 2-2 draw against UCLA on Friday. Stanford’s goals came from sophomore forward Foster Langsdorf, his fifth of the season and senior defender Brandon Vincent, off a penalty kick. Vincent is 6-for-6 on penalty kicks in his collegiate career. Stanford’s 13-match unbeaten streak is the second longest in program history.
#23 Cal Poly Men: Record: 9-3-4
Close to 15,000 spectators gathered Saturday night for the Blue-Green Rivalry in Santa Barbara that ended in a 2-2 draw. UC Santa Barbara held the lead the majority of the game, until freshman forward Jared Pressley scored Cal Poly’s second goal in the 90th minute to stretch the match into double overtime. Cal Poly improved to 15 points in the Big West Conference North Division standings to stay within one point of UC Santa Barbara (10-5-2).
#6 Cal State-Dominguez Hills Men (DII): Record: 13-1-2
The Cal State-Dominguez Hills closed out their regular season home stand with a 1-0 win over Cal State-Los Angeles on Friday. The final match was senior day and it true senior day fashion, senior and defender Jaime Rios spun around to hammer home the winning goal. It was Rios and fellow senior Pedro Velasquez who charged the CSUDH offense by combining for six shots.
#4 Stanford Women: Record: 12-2-0
Stanford overcame the rainy weather and Washington on Sunday in a 3-0. All three goals were scored within a 16-minute span in the second half by three different members of the Cardinal team. Stanford dominated, as they outshot the Huskies 19-10 and maintained a majority of the possession in the first half.
#14 California Women: Record: 11-3-2
The Bears won one and lost one on their road trip to the Pacific Northwest. Friday, California fell 1-0 to Washington. which ended the Bears five-game winning streak. The match looked destined for overtime, until Washington snuck in a goal from the corner in the 87th minute. The Bears redeemed themselves on Sunday when senior defender Karly Graf scored the game winner, also her first goal on the season, to give the Bears a 1-0 victory against Washington State. The winning goals assist came from California’s Pac-12 Player of the Year contender Arielle Ship.
#20 Santa Clara Women: Record: 11-5-1
The Broncos finished Saturday with a scoreless draw against BYU for senior day. Despite the final score, Santa Clara put up a fight and outshot BYU 17-11. Senior Megan Crosson had two shots on goal out of six total shots. The Broncos sit third place in the West Coast Conference standings, behind BYU and first place the University of San Francisco.
