This Sunday the 3rd annual Times Square Cup hosted by Street Soccer USA took place in New York City following the Women’s National Team’s celebratory parade last week.
The event was held in Times Square and saw over 100,000 bystanders attending the street soccer tournament. The four-a-side competition included a total of 32 teams, with 16 co-ed teams participating in the event.
The Times Square Cup saw the likes of soccer lifestyle and clothing brands attend the event with the honor of each brand’s name and design being included on the jerseys provided by UNIQLO.
Of the soccer specific brands that partnered with Street Soccer USA were Kicks to the Pitch and Live Breathe Futbol.
Street Soccer USA hosts soccer events tournaments for unprivileged and homeless youth and adults in urban areas across the United States. The organization extends beyond being strictly a soccer organization by providing the youth with lessons about how they can further their education and find employment.

Street Soccer USA partners with various organizations such as ESPN Foundation, HELP USA, New York Department of Homeless Services, New York Cosmos and UNIQLO.
The tournament ultimately saw Team Jamaica take home the trophy as champions of the 2015 Times Square Cup. Street Soccer USA continues to provide opportunities for players to participate and volunteer with events taking place in various cities in the United States.
